Neuroanaesthesia update programme in KSHEMA

Mangaluru, July 31,2017: A Continuing Medical Education programme on Neuroanaesthesia to update the recent concepts in anaesthesia was held in K S Hegde Medical Academy on 30.07.2017 organised by the department of Anaesthesiology. The programme was inaugurated by Dean Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary.

 

The programme mainly focused on the recent update about management of neuroanaesthesia and critical care especially for patients coming with head injury, brain tumours and bleed or clot in the brain. Chief resource person was Dr Stanlies D’souza, cheif Neuroanaesthesiologist from University of Massachusetts Boston, USA. Dr Umesh, Professor from DIMHANS, Dharwad Dr Raghavendra B S, Neurologist from Father Muller Medical College and Dr Sripada G Mehandale from KSHEMA and Dr Sathyajith Karanth HOD, Srinivas Medical College delivered talks on important aspects related to neuoanasthesia updates. Delegates from all the medical colleges from Mangalore participated in this programme making it a grand success. Dr Anand Bangera, Professor and HOD of Anaesthesiology of KSHEMA welcomed the gathering and Dr Shivakumar Hiremath Medical Superintendent, K S Hegde Hospital graced the occasion.

Dr Sumalatha R Shetty was the moderator of the programme and Dr Harish B G and Dr Varun Bhaskar were the organising secretaries.
