Mangalore,Feb 18, 2014: District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak has said that nearly 1.5 lakh people are likely to participate in the public rally at Nehru Maidan to be addressed by BJP Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi on February 18, Tuesday as part of Bharatha Gellisi campaign of the party.
Addressing press persons on February 17, Monday he said senior party leaders like BS Yeddyurappa, Ananthkumar, State BJP President Prahlad Joshi and V Satish, National Joint Organising Secretary of the Party too are expected to participate.
All arrangements are complete, he said adding four large LED screens have been set up for the convenience of the public at the Nehru Maidan while two more LED screens have been put up outside the venue so that more people can see Narendra Modi and hear him speak.
He said Modi will arrive at Nehru Maidan at 3 pm. A light music programme will be held prior to Modi’s programme, he said.
Nayak also said separate seating arrangements have been made for students attending the programme.
As part of the Statue of Unity project, he said the iron pieces and sand collected for the same will be displayed at the venue.
Former MLA Yogish Bhat, former minister Krishna Palemar and State BJP Vice President MB Bhanuprakash were also present.
