Shivamogga, Nov 08, 2014: In a latest development in the Nanditha death case of Thirthahalli, the Bengaluru Forensic Lab report is learnt to have confirmed that the handwriting in the death note was that of Nanditha itself.
Sources also said the Shivamogga police too have said the same. However, CID IGP Pranav Mohanty said there has been no confirmation and that the CID has not yet received the Forensic Lab report.
However, the girl’s father Krishnamurthi has been arguing since day one that the handwriting in the death note found in Nanditha’s school bag, was not that of her.
The State Government had ordered a CID probe into the case after the death of the class eight year on October 31 in a Manipal Hospital where she was admitted in a critical state, took different twists and turns with the passing of each day. Political parties and various organisations too had staged vehement protests.
Meanwhile, there are rumours that one person has been arrested in connection with the case. However, the authorities have not confirmed about the same.
