Mangalore, March 8, 2014: The second list of Lok Sabha candidates released by the BJP on March 8, Saturday has put an end to all speculations regarding the party candidate for the prestigious Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.
The party has finalised the name of sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel from Dakshina Kannada Constituency. While Former DK MP and chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda gets ticket from Bangalore north.
Nalin has the credit of defeating Congress heavy weight Janardhana Poojari, in the previous elections despite him being a first timer. Moreover DK constituency has been a strong hold of the BJP since the past several years with the party registering successive wins from here since 1991.
