NSS unit of Nitte Institute of Speech and Hearing conducts noise awareness program

Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2023: NSS unit of Nitte Institute of Speech and Hearing, in association with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, conducted an awareness program on ‘Noise Pollution’ at the Government Higher Primary School, Ajjinadka (Kotekar) on 27th February 2023. Mr. Vivek, Deputy Environmental officer, was the chief guest, and Dr. Srinikethan, President Institution Innovation Council, presided over the program.

Ms. Spoorthi, Audiologist, delivered the talk on noise pollution and briefed the students regarding the acceptable noise levels and adverse effects of noise pollution on human health and environmental beings.

The program was the last in the series, organized as part of the awareness campaign. Previously the programs were conducted at Govt. Higher Primary school, Kuttar, and Stella Maris Higher Primary School, Kotekar. A slogan writing competition is also being organized for the students of the beneficiary schools in connection with the campaign.
