NMPT handles last Cruise liner before monsoon season

Mangaluru, May 02, 2017: NMPT, New Mangalore Port Trust, handled MV AIDA Bella, a cruise ship owned by AIDA Cruises of Germany with over 1,800 passengers on board,  here on April 30, Sunday.


The vessel will be the last cruise ship calling at NMPT this season as the SW monsoon is due soon, the season started in October 2016.It was visiting Goa, Mangaluru, and Kochi carrying tourists, majority of whom were from Germany.

NMPT has handled 28 cruise vessels and 30,000 passengers between October 2016 and April 2017. Many tourist cruise liners have called at Mangaluru in the last season with the foreign tourists visiting many locations in the city during their stay at NMPT, during a day.
