Udupi, Jan 01, 2020:  A cable news channel owner of Mangaluru has  died  suspiciously at his  apartment at Manipal on the morning of January 1.


rohitraj.jpgThe deceased has been identified as Rohith Raj (53) owner of NMC Channel. Rohith and his wife had participated in the New Year celebrations at a hotel in Udupi on the night of December 31 and had returned home during the wee hours.


Sources say the couple had a quarrel following which he attempted  suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan but reportedly fell down and died.


Rohith Raj’s father has expressed suspicion over the cause of his son’s death. Investigations are in progress.
