Mangaluru, Mar 03, 2016: NIT-K, the National Institute of Technology-Karnataka, Surathkal, and Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, have emerged winners and runners-up, respectively, in the Mangalore Regional Finals of TCS TechBytes 2016, an IT quiz event, conducted at Srinivas Institute of Technology, here.
The quiz was jointly organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), in association with IT industries, for engineering students in the State, a release said.
Kaushik S. Kalmady and Swastik Udupa from NITK emerged winners, followed by Pawan Kumar Dubey and Harshvardhan Sawal from MIT as runners-up.
The winners took home an educational scholarship of Rs. 12,000, a glittering trophy and prizes from TCS. The runners-up received an educational scholarship of Rs. 8,000 and prizes from TCS. The teams that stood third, fourth, fifth and sixth received consolation prizes. The winners will now participate in the State finals to be held in Bengaluru on March 15.
