NENTULEM BAAL-2010 held at Holy Redeemer school, Derebail

Mangalore, Apr 14: ’Nentulem Baal 2010’, Konkani kid’s competition was held at Holy Redeemer parish school, Derebail, here today.  The competition was organized by Christian Life Community (CLC) unit of Derebail parish for the children between the ages of 3 year to 5 years.

Fr Maxim D’Souza, assistant priest of Derebail parish, parish priest Fr Peter D’Souza, parish council vice president Vincent Castelino, secretary Ullas D’Costa, CLC animator Arun Pinto, CLC president Jovita Sequeira, competition organizer Gerry Concesso jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 


 
Speaking at the occasion, Fr Peter D’Souza urged the people to encourage their children to speak their mother tongue – Konkani and promote their inherent talents.
 
Jasmine Vaz Angelore, Benedict Veigas Ashoknagar, Darryl Andrade Bajal were the jurors of competition. Crystal Monis of Angelore parish conducted the ‘Nentulem Baal 2010’ competition.




 
Len Shan Sequeira bagged the first place, Diona Rego bagged the second place and Jess Pais secured the third place at the competition.
 
Twenty six kids participated at Nentulem Bal 2010 competition.
 
The parishioner’s little children and CLC members staged a cultural programme after the competition.  The members of CLC staged a skit conveying the Easter message at the occasion.
 
Veena Pais compered the cultural programme.  Vinutan Goveas proposed vote of thanks.  Stany Mascarenhas, parishioner of Angelore parish, assisted in the competition.
 
Baila, non-stop Konkani folk dance followed after the cultural programme.
