Mangaluru, May 13, 2019: The police team identified the murdered woman as Shreemathi Shetty, a resident of Amar Alva road, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru. She was about 35 years old.
It may be recalled here that a gunny bag with chopped body parts of a woman were found near a petty shop close by the Kadri Park on May 12, Sunday.
A shop keeper in the area who saw the gunny bag in which the body parts were stuffed immediately informed the police. Shockingly the head of the body was found inside a helmet which was kept near the bag. The other body parts were found near the Koti Chennaya circle and near the Nandigudda grave yard.
Shreemathi said to be a divorcee and her former husband is in judicial custody in a theft case. She was running an electrical shop in Attawara, Mangaluru. Police is looking for the culprits of the crime with discriminating evidences. Details are awaited
