Mulky,July 18, 2015: The two persons involved in illegal sand transport were arrested by the police in Mulky  on Friday ,July 17. It is alleged that they have extracted sand from  Shambavi river in Karnire regularly.


Illegal sand transport; two arrested The accused persons are Halappa (lorry driver )and Ashok(loading worker).
 

Based on the information, a police team lead by Circle Inspector Ramachandra Naik  waylaid the vehicle and  arrested the accused.


It is said that Halapa and Ashok did not have the required license for transporting sand. The police seized a TATA 407  and other vehicle  involved in the same.
