Mother daughter killed in a tanker accident in Gangolly

Kundapur May 07, 2016: In a bid to overtake bus, tanker claims life of a woman and her daughter who were a pillion on a bike. The accident took place on May 07, Saturday around 8.30 am at National Highway 66 near Gangolly.
The deceased are Saroja(32), and her daughter Nishmitha(10). They were the residents of Mayyadi in Byndoor.
It is said that as Nishmitha was not well, Saroja and her were wating for the bus to visit the doctor. On noticing them in bus stop Saroja’s brother Vishwanath offered them a lift.
They were the pillion on his bike. The tanker plying from Byndoor to Kundapur rammed his bike overtaking a bus. In the accident Saroja and Nishmitha were killed on the spot whereas Vishwanath escaped with minor injuries.
A case has been registered in Gangolly police station.
