Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2017  : In an incident of moral policing reported  from   near the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on December 13, Wednesday, a  young man  who was seen in the company of a girl belonging to another community was  assaulted by the activists of a Hindu outfit. The man was later handed over to the police.

The youth has been identified as Nisar of Ullal. The girl who was with him had escaped no sooner  a crowd gathered. It is learnt, both worked at a mall and had come to have food.

The  incident took place near the  bus stand close by the DC office. The girl is said to be a resident of Akash Bhavan.
