Moodbidri, Jan 10, 2015:  Palace ground, Vidyagiri witnessed exciting concert of fabulous music by a band of magicians. Heat raised in the cold atmosphere of Vidyagiri when renowned drummer Shivamani entered the stage. Violinist Balabshanker presented the talent of mesmerizing through melody. Stephen Devassy performed the entertainment jinx through keyboard. Sachin accompanied Shivamani in drums.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The concert started with simple music of hamsadhwani. But grew wilder and wilder each minute. Shivamani made people wonder if anything could be an instrument. Using simple things like water to suit case, huge drums Shivamani displayed the world of percussion. The wizard trio hijacked the hearts of thousands. When the band played renouned music like ‘Ninorita’, ‘Ashique’, ‘jia ho’ stimulated reactions from crowd. Shivamani and his team showcased that the music not only give pleasure by listening but also by watching it. The ‘mela’ ended with impactful song “;raghupathi ragava rajaram”

 

Exciting journey of ’string struck’

Pleasent evening wittnessed a magnificient collaberation of eastern and western music ’string struck’ in palace ground, vidyagiri on accound of alva’s virasat 2015.

 

 

 

 

Amazing journey of music started with the raga ’shree’ enriching the beauty of dusk. sitar by Purbayan Chatterjee hit the soul of audience. Taufiq qureshi by his magical hands on drums made the croud spellbound. While Aditya kalyanpur, Sridhar Parthasarathi performed a class wizerding music in Tabla and Mridangam. On contarary Atul Raninga and Deepak pandith presented their excellence in Keyboard and Violin. Vocalist Kshitij Tarey added more melody to the journey. Fabulous peice "Lullaboy" reminded the innocence of a kid. Taufiq’s excellence in crweating music by various sounds by mouth created an obsession in the gathering. The journey ended with the astonishing popular songs like ‘raghupathiraghava rajaram’, ‘sare jahase accha’ and vande mataram’.
