Moodbidri: Abhayachandra Jain, JR Lobo honoured at ICYM Utsav-2013

Moodbidri, June 3, 2013: State Minister for Youth Services, Port and Fisheries K Abhayachandra Jain and Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo were felicitated  during the ICYM Utsav 2013 which saw the convergence of members of 13 parishes of the local Varado at the Milan Multi-purpose Hall at Mastikatte here on June 2, Sunday.
 
Responding to the felicitation, Abhayachandra Jain appreciated the role played by the Christian community in the progress of the society. JR Lobo who also spoke, promised to work towards the overall development of the constituency.

 

 

Moodbidri Municipal Councilors Eliza, Anil Cyprian and PK Thomas were also honoured on the occasion. On behalf of the ICYM, financial aid was provided to 12 students hailing from economically backward families.

 

Fr Assisi Rebello, Director of Moodbidri unit of ICYM, presided over the function. Nelson Monis, President of the ICYM Mangalore unit, Fr Ronald D’Souza, Director, Melwyn D’Cunha, President of Mangalore Catholic Co-operative bank Ltd, Stephen Mendes, President of Divine World Charitable Trust, Vanitia Rodrigues, Secretary of ICYM, Moodbidri, Roshan Castelino, State President of ICYM, Melwyn Lobo, President of the local unit of ICYM and others were present on the occasion.
Members of different parishes presented a variety of cultural programmes.
