Mangalore, Jan 16, 2014: K Mohammed Haris, director of Mukka Sea Food Industries Pvt Ltd conferred with the award for Outstanding Performance in Exports of Marine Products for the year 2011-12 at a award ceremony held at Chennai on 19th Biennial India International Sea Food Show.
Anand Sharma, union minister of commerce and industry presented the award.
The show was held at the Chennai Trade Centre under the auspices of the Marine Products Export Development Authority.
India International Seafood Show (IISS) is one of the largest Seafood Fairs in Asia. It affords a common forum for seafood processors, exporters, importers, aqua culturists, processing machinery manufacturers and allied industries to meet under one roof.
Avertano Furtado, minister of labour and employment, fisheries and rural development, Goa; K A Jayapal, Tamil Nadu fisheries minister, Leena Nair, IAS, chairperson, Marine Products Exports Development Authority and A J Tharakan, president, Sea Food Exporters Association of India were present.
