Mangaluru, Jan 22, 2016: Indian Sugarcane Farmers Association (ISFA) President Kurubur Shanthakumar has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to utilize more than 20,000-ton gold worth over Rs.50 lakh crore lying idle in the temples across the nation for the benefit of the distressed farmers and also to alleviate poverty.
He was addressing a press meet in Mangaluru Press Club on January on 22 January, Friday. Kurubur said he will write a detailed letter to Prime Minister in this regard.
