Mangaluru, Feb 3, 2017 :  The Congress staged a protest in front of the RTO office here on February 3, Friday to condemn the hike in fuel price and to oppose the  new Motor Act. The Mangaluru City, South, Gurupur, Suratkal and Ullal Block Congress units participated in the protest

District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha  Rai who addressed  the protestors  said the Modi Government which promised Achhe Din has failed to bring back black money stashed in Swiss Bank. The BJP has  been fooling the people all the while, he added.

 He said  the new  RTO rule will land the common man in trouble. He also  charged PM Modi of following the footsteps of  Hitler.

Ibrahim Kodijal,  Interim  President of District Congress who also spoke  alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah  were only in favour of industrialists like Adani and Ambani rather than helping  the common man. He also demanded immediate withdrawal of new RTO rules.

 Harsharaj, Mamatha Gatti, Hilda Alva and many Congress leaders and workers participated in the protest.
