Mangaluru, Dec 8, 2014: A person reportedly belonging to a Hindu organisation and another person from Bengaluru were attacked in two separate incidents reported from Bajpe and Bunder in the city on December 7, Sunday night.
In the Bajpe incident, Ranju alias Ranjith was reportedly attacked with swords by some miscreants near Kenjar. It is learnt, Ranjith who was riding his bike was followed by four persons in two bikes. Sensing danger, Ranjith fled leaving his bike when the miscreants attacked him. Reports also indicated that Ranjith later suffered a fall at a slope and was injured following which the miscreants fled.
It has been gathered that Ranjith has sustained serious head injuries and is hospitalised. Bajpe police have registered a case.
In the second incident, one Sayyed Wasim from Bengaluru was attacked by a bike bound duo in the Bunder area of the city. They had initially snatched his cell phone. When Sayyed raised a cry, they stabbed him before fleeing. The incident took place when Sayyed was returning after having dinner. He had come to Mangaluru to purchase goods at wholesale prices. He has been admitted to Wenlock Hospital.
Bunder police are investigating.
