Uppinangady, Oct 22, 2019: State Minister for Revenue R Ashok has said that the government would take steps to reconstruct at the earliest a suspension bridge across Netravathi river at Mugeradka-Bedrody which was washed away during the recent floods.
The Minister was speaking to reporters after inspecting the area. He said a permanent bridge construction as per the demand of the locals would take five years and as an immediate measure, steps would be taken to reconstruct the suspension bridge on a priority basis.
DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Sanjeeva Matandoor, Harish Poonja, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu and others were present.
