Mangaluru, Sep 09, 2017: A two-day millet mela is set to be held September 9 and 10, Saturday and Sunday, at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama.
A release from the Executive Director of the Nisargadhama said the mela -- between 8.30 a.m. and 6 p.m. -- will introduce millet varieties to people of the coastal belt. There will be a demonstration on preparation of food items using millets.
Resource persons will speak on how millets, a rich source of fibre and iron, is beneficial for maintaining good health. Different dishes made using millets will be available at the venue.
