Mayor blames the councilor’s irresponsiblity for the bad condition of the roads in the city

Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2016 : Mayor Harinath chaired a council meeting at Mangala Auditorium today October 28, Friday regarding the irresponsibility showed by the Council Committee which was formed for the repair of roads in the city.

Addressing the media Harinath said, Even though authorities promised to repair roads in the city ahead of the recently-concluded Dasara festival, motorists in city continue to endure bumpy rides. Several arterial roads in the city as well as thoroughfares in commercial and residential areas are in a deplorable condition. But this year no such works were initiated by the MCC officials at especially near Mangaladevi and Car Street. This is really disgusting behavior of the committee.

MLA J R Lobo said, Only a few roads in the heart of the city for repair before Dasara. Officials said the civic body would be able to complete road repairs work but this time they had failed to do so. The public has expressed the rage over MCC. The MCC is not happy with this attitude of the Committee.
