Mannagudda Govt School gets Hi-tech Audio Visual Media Room

Mangalore, June 23, 2014: : State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader launched the hi-tech ‘Audio Visual Media Room’   sponsored by the Mangalore Coastal Round Table 190 at a cost of Rs 6 lakhs to the Mannagudda Government School. The Room is air conditioned.

Speaking on the occasion,  Khader  said there is scope to extend this scheme to other schools also and assured Rs 15 lakhs from his MLA fund to  provide such facilities to three government schools in the Mangalore (Ullal) constituency. At the same time, the minister suggested development of software which will enable dissemination of information in Kannada to Kannada medium students.

Neil Antony Rodrigues,  Senior Project Manager said students can learn in this room even in the absence of teachers and can know about new inventions. This project would come as a boon to government schools which have limited opportunities to enlighten children on global aspects, and also face  shortage of staff, he further added.

Sunil Talittaya, Round Table Vice President, Joyce Henrita, Headmistress, Sureshchandra Shetty, President of Old Students Association.  Rajani, retired teacher and others were present.
