Mangalore, Jun 25, 2013: Hundreds of children  from various schools across city, including students of Kerala origin participated in a silent march organized by the Kerala Samajam in Mangalore on June 24, Monday to protest against the gang rape of a medical student of Manipal University.

TK Rajan, President of Kerala Samajam who addressed the protestors said the rapists must be arrested immediately and maximum punishment should be awarded. He also urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to ensure  that such incidents did not recur.

Maxim Sebastian, Vice President of Kerala Samajam, PD Sebastian, Vice Principal of  SDM Law  College,  also spoke on the occasion and urged for measures to ensure safety of students in educational campuses.

Disha, Sarika, students of Kerala Samajam English Medium School, also voiced their opinion on the issue.

The rally taken out from Kerala Samajam to the DC office was participated by students of Shree Devi College and Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe School also.
