Mangaluru June 21, 2016: MLA JR Lobo has said that Mangaluru will turn green in future. In order to preserve greenery in the city several samplings will be planted in the coming years, he added.
Addressing a press meet in his office on Tuesday June 21, he said that over 3,000 saplings will be planted as a part of urban planting scheme.
He informed that saplings will also be planted at the point where nearly 55 trees were axed in Valencia-Nandigudda stretch. Industries and Commerce Department has come forward in nurturing the saplings, he added.
At the same time Lobo said public support was essential to preserve greenery in the city.
