Mangaluru, Feb 6, 2019: Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr Selvamani has said that the e-JanMa software of the state government would facilitate the process of availing birth and death certificates through online mode.
She was speaking after inaugurating a workshop on Birth and Death Registration rules and e-JanMa software at the Netravathi Auditorium of Zilla Panchayat here on February 6, Tuesday.
In his introductory remarks, District Statistical Officer Dr Uday Shetty said on an average over 50,000 births and deaths have been registered in the district in the past five years. Of the total registrations 33,000 were relating to birth and 17,000 relating to death. The process is now done and certificates can be availed through e-JanMa software, he added.
He also explained the process of registering births and deaths online and availing the certificates.
Under e-JanMa there are a total of 456 centres and sub-centres offering the facility in the district, he informed.
