Mangaluru, Oct 1, 2017: In the backdrop of the state government unveiling Navakarnataka 2025 (Vision 2025) aimed at providing a governance strategy for Karnataka over the next seven years, preparations are underway to unveil Vision 2025 for the overall development of Dakshina Kannada in the next seven years. A workshop would be held at the DC office on October 3 to hold discussions with a cross section of people and elicit their opinion to enable framing of Vision 2025 for the district. The workshop to be held at the DC office at 10.30 am will be participated by Tushar Girinath, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and other officials.
The new scheme unveiled by the Karnataka Government aims to provide a way forward for Karnataka in the short and medium terms and is intended to serve as a bridge between different sectors and diverse interests. It shall endeavour to speak to every constituent and answer the question, “what’s in it for me?”, which in principle will drive its context and substance.
As far as Dakshina Kannada district is concerned, it will provide a good platform for the people to highlight their demands, hopes and expectations. All members of the public can participate in the process and submit their suggestions in writing to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
