Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2015 :  Ostriches are now an added attraction at Pilikula Biological Park at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama now.  Two ostriches brought from Vandalur Zoo, Chennai, have already found a place as a separate exhibit enclosure at the park.

According to H. Jayaprakash Bhandary, director of the park, the birds are two-years-old. They are expected to be a big draw at the park.

The park would send two King Cobras to the zoo in exchange for the birds under animal exchange programme.

He said that the park would get four white peacocks (two pairs) and an Asiatic Lion from Junagarh zoo shortly. In addition, the park would get some more exotic birds.  The park is spread over an area of 370 acres comprising a forest and the Pilikula Lake

Wow !so beautiful . The creation of God is wonderful. All these are endangered species. It due to man’s invention the life of all such creatures are on risk. We should support to save such species.Thanks to PILIKULA .
