Mangaluru: Tragic road mishap near Tokkottu claims life of MCC bill collector

Mangaluru, July 06, 2015: A bill collector in the Revenue Department of Mangaluru City Corporation lost his life in a tragic road accident reported from near Kolya Sharada Sadan near Tokkottu late night on July 5, Sunday.

The deceased is Shivaprakash (44), a resident of Kolya. He was just a few meters away from home when his two-wheeler was knocked down by a Mangaluru-Kerala KSRTC bus. It has been gathered that his hand had come directly under the tyre of the vehicle. Locals had to struggle for nearly half an hour to get Shivaprakash out and rush him to the hospital. He was taken to the hospital in the official vehicle of local SI Bharati. Ullal Police have registered a case.

The Traffic Police have to fine the persons who drive without any speed limit.If every citizen follow the Traffic rules properly such major accidents can reduced to some extent.

The accidents are increasing day by day .This is merely due to carelessness of the person driving ,whether the two- wheeler or heavy vehicle.
