Mangaluru: Teenager attempts to sexually assault German woman, thrashed

Mangaluru, Sep 23, 2017 : A 19-year-old youth who attempted to sexually assault a German woman was thrashed by public in Deralakatte and later handed over to Ullal police on Saturday evening.

teenager 23 sep 17 Sources in Ullal police station informed that the woman, a research scholar based in Germany, had visited an orphanage at Paneer onSaturday.

Returning from the orphanage, she was walking towards Paneer Church, when the 19-year-old boy allegedly held her hand and attempted to sexually assault her. On screaming for help, locals in the area rushed to her rescue and thrashed the teenager.

Later the public handed over the teenager to Ullal police station. During interrogation by police, the teenager’s parents informed that their son was mentally unsound and was under medication. A case has been registered under Sec 354 (A), 354 (D) and 341 of IPC.
