Mangaluru, March 29, 2024: Naxals who surrender will be rewarded for handing over weapons and sharing valuable information. Those who choose skill training will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5000 for two years.
The state government is considering dropping charges against surrendered Naxals, offering legal aid, and expediting legal processes through fast-track courts.
To date, 14 Naxals, including women, have surrendered and received support for rehabilitation from the state government.
A senior official highlighted that this initiative aims to persuade Naxals to leave behind their forest existence and integrate into mainstream society.
