Mangaluru: Prison warden accused of assaulting colleage

Mangaluru Apr 2, 2016: A warden of the District Prison in Mangaluru has been accused of assaulting his colleague on Friday April 1.
The accused has been identified as Chakresh Kumar. It is said he assaulted one Santosh after he visited the office of the Jail Superintendent. The victim has been admitted to Wenlock Hospital.
It is said the incident occurred in the presence of the Jail Superintendent Krishna Murthi.
The Superintendent said that the attack was the result of personal issues between the two.
It may be recalled here that Santosh who was injured in this assault case had faced allegations of helping some people to smuggle weapons into the prison prior to the double murders reported in the presion some time back.
