Mangaluru: Police detain three accused in Sandeep Shetty murder attempt case

Mangaluru Aug 24, 2016: Mangaluru Police have  arrested three accused in connection with the attempt to murder Marnamikatte Sandeep Shetty on May 16, informed Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar at a press meet in his office on August 24 Wednesday.

The arrested have been identified as Vijay (30), a resident of Monkey Stand, Melric (20), a resident of Gorigudda and Praveen (23), resident of Kodical. All the three  were arrested near Raibhag in Belagavi on August 23.

The Commissioner said that five other accused Nikhil Shetty, Annayya, Dhanraj, Abhishek and Sampath Bangera  were  arrested soon after the crime and produced to the court. He also stated that three more accused in the case were absconding since the incident took place. The longstanding enmity between  Vijay and Sandeep had triggered the incident, he added.

The Police team led by inspector Belliyappa will be rewarded with Rs. 10,000 for its efforts in tracing the accused, informed the Commissioner.

DCPs Shantharaju, Dr Sanjeev M Patil and ACP Shruthi were present.

Wonderful Job by b the police department. It is the politics which corrupts the entire system. Because of which we lose trust on them.
