Mangaluru: Pandeshwar/Rosario road upgradation inaugurated by Mayor with MLA

Mangaluru, Mar 29, 2015: MLA Mangalore South J R Lobo and Mayor Jacintha Alfred kicked off road works from Forum mall (Nehru cirle) Hoige Bazar Railway Level Crossing Road (Corporation Bank Head office to Rosario Church) on March 28, Saturday.

Speaking to media MLA Lobo stated that the 45 Port-Pandeshwar Main Road (Nehru Circle) to Railway Level crossing Hoige Bazar Road (Corporation Bank Head office to Rosario Church Road) needed betterment as the traffic flow had increased now, foot paths too were lacking. Government has sanctioned Rs 1.2 crore under the SFC grant for the development of the roads. Concreting of 250 meter road work, as first phase, 180 meters of 4 lane concrete road, including the median, footpath and drainage system. The upgrade of the road will be completed in a few months, contractor Rama Kamath and Co has given an undertaking to finish the work early.

Mayor Jacintha assured of good works too. Corporators Prakash B Saliyan, Deepak Poojary, Kavitha, Abdul Lathif and others were also present.
