Mangaluru: Mega Women’s Convention on Dec 20 to support triple talaq

Mangaluru Dec 16, 2016: Central Muslim Committee and a few Muslim organizations have come together to organize a mega women’s convention on December 20th at Townhall in support of Triple Talaq, informed Shamira Jahan, member of Jamaat e Islami Mangaluru Unit.

Addressing media at Press Club on Friday December 16, she said that Talaq is being glorified in wrong way for political benefits.

Central Government’s attempt to introduce Uniform Civil Code clearly indicates its anti-Muslim stance,she said and alleged that this was a conspiracy hatched by communal powers which are against multi-culturalism. Women need to come forward and raise their voice, she further stated.

Conveners of Shariat Protection Committee Sajida Moomin, Sayeeda Yusuf and others were present.
