Mangaluru: Man selling ganja to students arrested in old port area

Mangaluru, July 8, 2015: The CCB police have arrested a ganja peddler who was reportedly supplying drugs to college students. The man who hailed from Ansari Cross Road Bunder was arrested from the Bunder Area itself.

Ganja worth nearly Rs 20,000 which he had stored in his brand new Honda Activa scooter was seized. Police have also seized to gold chains, rings, two cell phones all worth Rs2.4 lakh from him.

The arrested person is Abdul Rahim alias Goods Rahim alias Kandi Rahim (40). Sources said he used to sell ganja to students as well as others in small sachets. Even his brother Farooq was arrested last week on charges of drug peddling.

CCB Inspector Valentine D’Souza led the raid. The case has been handed over to Mangaluru North Police Station.
