Mangaluru, May 26, 2015:  Panambur beach life guards  saved Gangadhar, 45, from drowning in the sea. A resident of Shanth Alva compound, Monkey Stand area of the city. He had come to the beach with his family of 6 members and was playing at the edge of the water. 

panambur.A little later lifeguards spotted Gangadhar struggle in the water, they immediately went to his rescue and brought him ashore. He was given artificial respiration. Now, the total number of people saved by the lifeguards of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project (PBTDP) has gone up to 98, till date since 2008, noted Yathish Baikampady, chief executive officer of PBTDP.
