Mangaluru, Apr 20, 2019: A man from Derebail Borugudde in Kavoor police station limits has reportedly stabbed his wife to death during the wee hours of April 20, Saturday in a drunken stupor.

The deceased has been identified as Manjula (38). Both the accused and the deceased are labourers. It is learnt the accused identified as Sharanappa (45) suspected the fidelity of his wife and this might have culminated in the murder.

A neighbour Satish Amin who lodged a complaint revealed how he saw Sharanappa repeatedly stabbing his wife, after he rushed to the spot on hearing loud noise.

It is said the accused escaped when Satish  called him by his name. Kavoor Police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
