Mangaluru: Kreeda Bharathi organises state level Kabaddi tourney

Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2014: A state level Kabaddi tournament was inaugurated at the Nehru Maidan in the city  on December 14, Sunday under the aegis of  Kreeda Bharathi, Mangaluru.  The state unit of Kreeda Bharathi was also inaugurated to coincide with the occasion.The event was declared open by Raj Chowdhuri, All India Convenor of Kreeda Bharathi by lighting the traditional lamp.

 

 

Outstanding athlete  Poovamma and high jumper Sahana Kumari were felicitated on the occasion.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, PV Shenoy, Sanghachalak of RSS, Asha Timmappa Gowda, Zilla Panchayat President, Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Raymond D’Souza,  renowned body builder, Chandrashekhar Jagirdar, MB Puranik and others were on the dais.

Teams from various colleges of the state are participating in the event.
