Mangaluru, Nov 7, 2016 : "Kaadankall Mane" a novel authored by veteran writer Muhammad Kulai was released by former Lokayukta Justice  N Santosh Hegde at a ceremony  held at Bishop Jattanna Auditorium on November 6, Sunday.

In his address, Justice Hegde said the novel by Kulai has portrayed Beary-Tulu culture in its vivid form and has also  been successful in  building bridges of friendship between two communities.

Speaking as a chief guest, veteran writer Vaidehi  said the novel unveils the lives of not only women of Muslim community, but of women from all communities and  their  joys and sorrows.

He said Muhammad Kulai’s novel was the first novel that he read after almost 25 years and added that it was indeed a very good literary work.

Former Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Harikrishna Punaroor presided over the function.  Honey Cabral, Principal of Karnataka Theological Society, M B Abdurrehman, former president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy,  Abdurrahim  TK, Founder President of Kendra Beary Sahitya Parishat,  Siraj Ahmed, Managing Director of Inland Group,  Abdurravoof Puttige, President of Talent Research Foundation, B M Basheer, writer and others were present.
