Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2017: J R Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South has informed that the road connecting Mangaluru Junction Railway Station would be widened by spending Rs 4.05 crores.
Speaking to media men after inspecting the condition of the road on December 20, Wednesday, Lobo said of the total project cost, Rs 2.05 crore would be utilised from the premium FAR Funds of the MCC while the remaining Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned by the PWD. The widening of the road would greatly benefit people travelling towards the railway station, he added.
Praveen Chandra Alva, Corporator, MCC Deputy Commissioner (Development) K S Lingegowda, Town Planning Officer Balakrishna and others were present.
