Mangaluru : Heavy rains likely in next two days

Mangaluru, May 18, 2016 : Mangaluru and surrounding areas received good rainfall on May 17, Tuesday evening. Met department sources said the region was likely to receive rainfall in the next two days owing to the low pressure area over Bay of Bengal which has intensified into a depression.

The depression has already resulted in heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu and its influence would result in heavy rains in the coastal areas of Karnataka, Kerala, south Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep apart from Tamil Nadu in the next two days.

Fishermen have also been advised against venturing into the sea.

Still the water scarcity is not solved in the city. Hope the rain continues for some more days.

The Mangaloreans have been facing moderate climate after rains. Because of rains city has been free from humidity.
