Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2016 : A gang of seven persons were arrested by Barke police for blackmailing the bank manager, who was forced to pose with a girl in at his residence in Mangaluru, recently.
The arrested culprits have been identified as Srijit Konaje (20), Avinash Konaje (21), Sachin Pachhanady (21), Ranjit Shetty Kuttar (22), Yatish Poojary Kuttar (24), Nitin Deralakatte (21) and Trupti (21).
It is said that the bank manager stayed in an apartment in Mannagudde, Mangaluru. According to the Manger, Shilpa had vacated the complex a few weeks ago. She had called him on September 17 seeking his help to train her friend Trupti in a banking entrance examination. When he asked Shilpa to send Trupti to the bank, she said that she will send Trupti to his house during the lunch time. His wife was not present in the house during the incident.
Trupti came to the bank manager’s house . Ten minutes later; a group of six entered into his house and locked the door. They forced him to pose with Tripti and took photographs and also recorded a video.
They had fled the scene with two blank cheques and some cash too. The gang later demanded money from the manager threating him that they would release the photographs and video if he did not fulfill their demand.
Tired of the hide and seek play, the manger informed the matter in Barke police station. On his complaint police managed to arrest the six men and Trupti. Shilpa, who is admitted in a hospital complaining of leg injury was also arrested later. The identity of manger is kept confidential on request.
Investigation is underway.
