Mangaluru, Nov 4, 2015 : Former minister and Mangaluru North unit BJP President Krishna Palemar has alleged that the DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has no hold over the administrative machinery in turn affecting the developmental works in the district. Palemar has even demanded that the minister tendered his resignation owning moral responsibility.
Speaking to reporters here, Palemar also alleged that it were only murders that were making news in the district in the past three month period and said those engaged in the task of protection of cattle had to live a life of fear.
It is a tragedy that the ministers themselves are receiving threatening calls, Palemar said and added that the drugs mafia too has a role to play in the spurt in crimes.
"Youth are drawn towards recreation clubs and skill games and introduced to the world of crime.
Even flesh trade is rampant," he said and charged the government of turning a blind eye to the developments.
