Mangaluru: Elated Congress, JD(S) workers celebrate by-poll victory

Mangaluru, Nov 06, 2018: The Congress and JD(S) leaders and workers celebrated the victory of their respective candidates in the by-polls held for three Lok Sabha and two assembly constituencies. The BJP has suffered a huge setback with the Congress –JD(S) coalition winning by a 4-1 margin.

The Congress celebrated the victory of its candidates in Jamakhandi assembly constituency and Ballari Lok Sabha constituency in front of its office at Mallikatta. Party workers burst crackers and distributed sweets.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, Deputy Mayor Mohammad, Congress leader Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.

The JD(S) celebrated the victory of its candidates in Mandya and Ramanagar. Party workers converged in front of the party office at Bendorewell. Vasanth Poojary, President of Mangaluru South unit of the JD(S), Sushil Noronha and other party leaders and workers were present.
