Mangaluru Dasara to be held as per tradition; all guidelines will be followed: Janardhana Poojary

Mangaluru, September 10, 2020: Mangaluru Dasara which has its own  distinct history will be celebrated this time as per tradition and by strictly adhering to government guidelines, said senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary who also happens to be the rallying force behind the development of the shrine.

Poojary said a special prayer will also be offered at the Kudroli shrine during Dasara to free the natian from Corona. He said  it has been decided not to  withhold the celebrations this time due to Covid-19 and added  that it has been decided to celebrate Dasara grandly by adhering to government guidelines.

He said as every year, the idols of Mahaganapathi, Goddess Sharada and Nava Durgas will be installed at the temple hall. He said the management of the temple would take certain decisions  in order to ensure social distancing   while devotees visit the shrine during the festival.
