Mangaluru, Nov 24, 2016 : The DK District Congress Committee staged a protest in front of the DC office here on November 24, Thursday to condemn the Union Government action of demonetizing old currency notes of 500 and 1000 denominations.
District Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal, addressed the gathering and deplored the Modi government’s act which has caused inconvenience to the common man.
AICC Member PV Mohan, District Congress Vice President Mithun Rai, ZP Member Shahul Hameed, Mayor Harinath, Congress Women’s Wing leader Shalet Pinto and others were present.

| The economical status of the country has effected much due ti this but it will be back to normal in few days . But other than that we cannot say anything because it a good initiative. Public inconvenience is solved as changes are available at banks and ATM’s. Other than that what is the problem with the CONGRESS? | |

| Demonetization of 500 and 1000 notes is not wrong, It was actually done to curb the menace of terrorism and destroy fake money. If the BJP has done it sufficient change in th Banks it would not effect the public much except with Black money | |
