Mangaluru, Oct 31, 2015: Rich tributes were paid to late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on the occasion of her death anniversary at a function held at the District Congress office on October 31, Saturday. DK District in-charge Minister and State Forest Minister B Ramanatha Rai was prominent among those who paid floral tributes to the portrait of Indira Gandhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Rai described Indira Gandhi as a powerful leader who brought India on the forefront at the global level. She had strived ceaselessly for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden and also to build a strong India, he added.
Ibrahim Kodijal, MUDA Chairman, Ivan D’Souza, MLC, Congress leaders KB Balaraj Rai, Sadashiv Ullal and others were present.
