Mangaluru : Cong chief says KPCC to rationalise

Mangaluru, May 01, 2015: The schedule of polls have been announced and the Congress party hopes to complete its ongoing membership process by May 15, said KPCC chief G Parameshwara recently.

G Parameshwar He said that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will be recast by September after theorganizational polls. He added that the elections to ward, block and district Congress committees will be held in a phased manner before the KPCC polls. "In districts headed by in-charge Presidents of the District Congress Committee (DCC), including DK, where Ibrahim Kodijal is the in-charge DCC president as well as chairman of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority, the party felt it not right to disturb the incumbents.

They may continue to head the respective DCCs, post organizational polls, he said. He said that the KPCC will give financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the DCC .
