Mangaluru: All set for Gram panchayat election vote counting in DK

Mangaluru, June o4: Preparations for the Vote counting of Grama Panchayat election have been completed DK. The counting will start at 8 am on Friday June 5 amid tight security.

The Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada A B Ibrahim inspected the counting centre at Padua Educational Institute in Mangaluru on Thursday June 4.

Speaking with Media Personnel, A B Ibrahim said," The necessary arrangement have  been made at the counting centers, Sec 144 has been imposed in Dakshina Kannada district and dry day has been declared under the relevant state laws. All the information will be displayed on the chart about the room of constituency counting.  Other than Mangaluru, the vote counting will also be held in Modankap school, Bantwal, Belthangady, Puttur and Sullia.  The counting agents will not be allowed to carry mobile phones in counting center" he added.

Dr. Ashok Assistant commissioner said “Foolproof security as has been arranged around the counting centers. The vote counting of 55 gram panchayath constituency in Dakshina Kannada will be conducted in 28 rooms at Padua Educational institute campus.

In addition to that he said the first round counting will be held for 113 constituencies, second round for 117 constituencies, and third round for 80 constituencies and fourth round for 16 constituencies.

Counting for Suratkal hobli will be held in Primay block, Mangaluru-B and Gurpur hobli in Commerce and Management block, Moodbidri and Mulky hobli in PU block and rest of Mulky hobli in high school block." he said,
